We feel very lucky to have found the Breathable House Company. Once we realised that our property had all lime plaster we were worried as we read some scary things about using cement based plaster on older buildings (damp etc.). We came across the Breathable House Company and they've been simply fantastic, in the end we've had them plaster and decorate pretty much the whole house (after electrical/plumbing works). Once we saw the quality of the work it was an easy decision to ask them to do more. They're always available to offer advice and the work is of excellent quality. We're over the moon with the finish. We used the Breathable House company to fit retrospective insulation using breathable materials and lime renders on our 18th Century Oxfordshire cottage. Really impressed with how traditional techniques marry up with innovative materials, and the craft and expertise of this team. They found a value for money solution to our problems. But first and foremost, they are masters of their trade and are deeply respectful of our home environment and our family needs whilst the work was going on . We had Jody work on our cottage this past fall, and have to say that he was outstanding! We were looking for someone with the skilled traditional craftsmanship, knowledge, and attention to detail that a proper job entailed, especially on period restorations. Jody did such a fantastic job on our exterior, it was everything we hoped for, and we eagerly await his availability for additional work. Our old mixed brick, flint, stone and lime mortar wall in Wallingford was in terrible condition, falling down in places. We wanted to renovate and retain the original haphazard construction. The Breathable House Company took on this unusual brief with enthusiasm and performed excellently.
